Environmental problems are too big for individual countries and individual persons to address. In other words, we have reached the stage where the only way to protect the environment is at the international level.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

INTRODUCTION

Nature is the gift of God, but we have taken it for granted resulting in serious environmental issues such as Global warming. Over a decade there has been a debate on where the responsibility lies, whether at the international level or at the individual level. I believe that it should be concerned at both international level, such as regulation of factories, fossil fuels, and nuclear weapons, as well as at individual level, as less utilization of cars, power and water saving.

BODY PARAGRAPH-1

To commence with, albeit individual efforts are very minute for problems namely global warming, but as it is said every single drop of water makes an ocean, similarly if each mortal makes an effort then it will surely have some positive impact. For instance, dwellers can lead an eco-friendly lifestyle with less use of automobiles that are operated on fossil fuels, by abolishing plastic bags which disrupt the quality of the environment. Instead, alternative tactics namely solar-powered vehicles along with reusable bags could be put to use replacing those venomous materials from their lives. Moreover, personages could impart some environment-friendly habits into their children and could teach them to plant trees on special occasions in place of throwing parties and waste away money and damage mother-nature. Furthermore, individual countries could implement some eco-friendly schemes in their terrains and promote green products.

On the contrary, it is the accountability of all the sovereign states to join hands in order to save our beautiful planet since accumulative efforts pay more than individual ones. This can be exemplified by a summit signed by developed nations, namely the USA, Europe, Russia, and China, to not use nuclear energy as weapons. This decision was instigated after observing the deteriorating situation in Japan when the US dropped an atomic bomb on Japan during World War II and the consequences can still be seen after so many decades. Apart from this, some advanced green technologies should be invented by a collaboration of all nations to ease the pressure on mother nature. For example, Tesla’s electric cars are anticipated to cut down fossil fuel industry in the near future.

CONCLUSION

In a nutshell, I opine that it's every human being's responsibility to look after our planet since everyone has a fair share in disrupting the natural environment. Hence, it is time to take the initiative to remedy the current situation at both personal as well as international levels.
