You recently stayed in a hotel and left an item in the room. 

Write a letter to the manager. In your letter :


  • Describe the item that you have left in the room.

  • Explain where you think the item might be.

  • Suggest how the manager can return the item to you.







Dear Sir or Madam,


I am writing this letter to remind you about my stay at your renowned hotel Sunrise on the 15th March 2021. However, the stay was pleasant and homely but I forgot my Ipad charging adaptor in the hotel itself. Regarding this, I am writing to you.


To help you remind let me inform you, I stayed in room number 105 next to the elevator which you proudly guided me to hire as it is the best room for executives. During my stay, I had to work on my Ipad to get connected to my professional team members at the head office, Bangalore, India. After returning home while unpacking my luggage I discovered my adaptor is missing. During my return journey from hotel to home, I did not stay anywhere. Hence, I am sure that the adaptor is in the hotel room only.


If I assist you with clarity of the place where you can readily find the adaptor is the white wooden closet adjacent to the T.V. I used this cabinet to place my electronic gadgets because the other green closet in the room was used by me to place my clothes and other belongings. I expect that the adapter will be still there on the top shelf of the white cabinet. Because I think while packing my luggage I looked there carefully and missed it. 


Could I please provide you the way you can send it to me? I am sharing my official address along with the expenses that the courier company will charge from you. The address is 44/12 Trump Plaza, 3rd floor, New Delhi. Kindly share your account details to receive the courier charges. I shall be highly grateful to you once you fulfill my request since without the adaptor I feel handicapped.
