Many museums charge for admission while others are free.

Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages?

INTRODUCTION

Museums epitomize fascinating historical artifacts and beautiful paintings which have worth in millions. This is why for maintenance and security purposes some museums charge an entrance tariff that is malevolent for the institution and outweigh the potential demerits as depriving few mortals of the privilege of worthy knowledge due to the absence of enough funds.

BODY PARAGRAPH - 1

Why is exaction on setting foot in archives benevolent? It assists in the perpetuation of the items in the museums. Since most of the articles are quite antediluvian and are prone to damage and not to forget are very precious so they need to be carefully sustained. Moreover, the staff appointed needs to be paid and the place also needs security equipment (CCTVs, alarm system, and security personnel), which are funded by accumulating emolument charged. For instance, Louvre Museum, Paris where the world’s most expensive painting (MonaLisa) is kept has to be kept under tight security and the money comes from the imposition from the visitors. Thence, the entrance fee is remunerative as it caters to the institution itself.

BODY PARAGRAPH - 2

Albeit, levying an access charge is promising, however, it also has a con. Since not everyone relishes their life with luxuries rather they have to yearn for even a day’s meal and this is why the charged assemblage are out of their league. But it does not imply that they are not engrossed in such things. Alas, they have to be impecunious of their right to have access to a clear view of their cultural history. This can be exemplified by the underprivileged populace of India who either has no idea regarding exhibitions courtesy their illiteracy or could not ingress owing to their financial background. Therefore, these people are bereaved from such art exhibits.

CONCLUSION

To recapitulate, funds are paramount in order to nurture the exigency of museums, hence they implement a fare to enter inside museum galleries. Also, it aids the security requirements as well. However, it also snatched the privilege of some under-waged people who could not afford the access charge.
