A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/ paid work. You would like to do some voluntary/ unpaid work at the museum.

Write a letter to the museum director to apply for voluntary/ unpaid work. In your letter

Describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful.
Give details of when would be available for work

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to apply for the voluntary post at the museum which was advertised in yesterday’s newspaper in the commercial section.

Being an art and history admirer, I am quite intrigued to work at your museum as a part-time worker. Apparently, this museum accommodates an amalgamation of historical artifacts such as paintings, writings, coins, and many more and it will be great exposure for me to know more about them.

Since I am accredited with computer knowledge and also have good experience working in the It field, I could handle the CCTV surveillance at the museum for the security of the precious artifacts with my geek skills. I am available every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

I am eagerly waiting for your reply and hope for it to be in my favor.
