Nowadays, many people prefer to use their own cars to commute rather than buses and trains.

Why do you think it is happening?

What can government do to change it?



INTRODUCTION

In regnant times, a wide hoard of populace prefers their own personal convenience instead of public transport, which is due to people’s preference of comfort as well as for opting for saving their precious time. The government could remedy this situation by considerably enhancing the frequency of public transport along with drastically plummeting the fares.

BODY PARAGRAPH - 1

Revolution in the automobile industry has led to more personages owning vehicles and drastic disparity in preference of transport mode. The primary impulse is a matter of soaring facilities and independence as they do not have to be congested in a public convenience. To excurse it, it also implicates much-needed privacy. Another motivation is time-saving since life in the 21st century is bustling, which can be exemplified by a student in Toronto, studying along with doing a part-time job. To coordinate his time he would find his own car more convenient and comfortable.

Now the government could take some conspicuous measures to rectify the scenario. The first remedy is augmenting the quota of public transport such as buses and trains. With such a surge in commuting modes, the time of passengers could be saved and congestion would tone down. Another solution could be to slump the travel fares, as that would make it more pocket-friendly for travelers as money is more precious to contemporary humans. For instance, in developed countries, public transport tactics are quite modern and comfortable along with a bearable charge, as a result, most of the mortals opt for public modes to commute.

CONCLUSION

In cessation, this essay has discussed why mortals prefer their own vehicles to travel since it provides comfort and saves their time. This essay has also elucidated some preventive measures which government could take to make the situation better such as staggering reduction in transport fares along with appreciable proliferation in the frequency of transport alternatives.
