The growth of online shopping will one day lead to all shops in towns and cities closing.

Do you agree or disagree?

The unprecedented advancement of online shopping has led to the rapid decline of traditional buying approach such as visiting shops and buying things. I am clearly confident about that one day, we will have no shops anywhere around us, people will buy online only. Reasons would be, its easy, time saving and provides ample number of alternatives.

First and foremost, reason why soon conventional shops will be disappeared because digitally, an individual can see a lot of items just by sitting at his couch or anywhere and place an order. Such as, traditionally I have seen my parent visiting shops for purchasing things they require. This option needs them to spare time, invest energy in reaching to it, prioritizing rest of things with shopping activity whereas, online shopping removes all such barriers, for example, you are commuting to office, talking to friends at the same time you can order your desired things, which has not happened ever before. Thus, electronic method of buying will be everywhere in days to come.

Another factor that motivates me to write that this orthodox concept of shops to let people buy what they need will not survive in future because time has become money in today’s era. Everybody is looking to search ways that they can save their time, in such circumstances, online shopping looks like a boon and allow people to save their buying hours and invest them in other useful pursuits. For example, I buy books online these days, I search books online whenever I am free in my day-to-day work so it saves me a ton of efforts to personally visit a bookstore and face traffic jams and waste my precious time, the same thing I get online as well. Hence, it will be rare to see shops in coming years.

Last but not the least, I will say that the bandwidth of alternatives an online store can render to its customers is largely wider than a rented or owned space shop in general can offer to its customers. Needless to say, current times are the times where individuals are fascinated and influenced deeply with more and more options they receive to explore and eventually buy for. Exempli gratia, Amazon or Alibaba such portals have almost infinite items to offer to their clients so how can traditional shops compete to such digital bohemians? Thus, defeat of shop is almost certain in the race with online shopping platforms.

This essay has clearly presented the three strong reasons why I think that shops will no longer exit in near future and how online shopping will be in mainstream in future.
