ESSAY # 159 || APRIL 24, 2023 || DUE TO POORER COUNTRIES EXPERIENCING A BRAIN DRAIN, THEY ARE SEEING MANY PROFESSIONALS SUCH AS DOCTORS AND TEACHERS LEAVING TO WORK IN MORE DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. || WHAT PROBLEMS DOES THIS CAUSE? || WHAT SOLUTIONS CAN BE SUGGESTED TO DEAL WITH THESE SITUATIONS || IELTS ONLINE OFFLINE STUDY VISA || 99966-5415

A sample answer::

During these tumultuous times, underdeveloped nations are experiencing a serious issue of brain drain due to which well-read professionals are leaving their home lands to work and settle in developed economies. This essay will discuss the two major challenges that it pose which are, lack of bright professionals in home country and low motivation for upcoming experts to stay in the country. Solutions to these could be, higher standards of living and better salaries should be provided paid to such individuals.

The first stringent problem that it causes is, a small proportion of talented professionals left out for home country. Such as, if every second doctor or engineer will choose to migrate, who will serve their local industries, customers and local economies? For example, I know from my experience that students who pass out from IITs and IIMs, instead of choosing to work in India, they emphasise to get settled in America and Australia due to better perks and lifestyle. Thus, this circumstance creates an environment where well-educated individuals go away and serve others.

The another obstacle that it offers is, extremely low level of drive exists for new comers in Science and Engineering fields if their seniors relentlessly choose to leave the home companies. Such as, if every year, a large quota of well-qualified doctors are flying abroad to seek better career avenues so spontaneously their juniors will follow and in such scenarios, brain drain will never stop. For example, two of my seniors cousins are working in USA for an engineering firm, the elder cousin motivated the younger one that don’t waste your time and potential in your country rather come to USA and get high salaries. Thence, the upcoming graduates will not choose to work in local countries if they get regular impulse from their seniors.

Solutions could be figuring out what exactly motivates such people to quit their home land and choose to sweat out in foreign economies and then provide them even higher incentives and research opportunities to grow and excel. Such as, if someone is moving to USA because they pay more to doctors, why not that much pay can be given to them so they stop migrating. For example, if Indian companies start paying high salaries and better work environment and research prospects to these individuals, they will develop Indian further. As a result, I would like to stress upon the fact that lucrative salaries and outstanding life style opportunities should be rendered to them.

In a nutshell, selecting to work where better financials gains and  higher career trajectory are available is a serious threat for under developed nations. It causes various severe issues and certain tough measures should be taken to pause this migration or so called brain drain.
