Relationships Between Parents and Children
1. How much time do children spend with their parents in your country? do you think that is enough?
This is a serious matter in my country that children of today are more inclined with T.V. and video games and as a result, they are spending less time with their parents. on an average, a child is spending only 2 to 3 hours with his parents which is very less.
2. How important do you think spending time together is for the relationships between parents and children? Why?
It is very essential for child to spend time with his parents, as they teach him several things in play way method like how to talk in society and how to look at things. Apart from going school, home is the first school for a child and his parents are his first teachers. Impact of teaching given by parents is lifetime.
3. Have relationships between parents and children changed in recent years? Why do you think that is?
Relationships between parents and children has been changed almost completely. The quality time that a child used to spend with parents has been taken by internet or video games. Television has totally engaged children in virtual world where they don't bother about outside but remain happy in their digital life.
Children's Free-time Activities
1. what are the most popular free-time activities with children today?
In my country, most popular free time activity in children is watching T.V. especially watching cartoon channels. A revolution in the number of cartoon channel has been seen in recent years. It seems, they are very much prepared to snatch children's free time from other healthy activities.
2. Do you think the free time activities children do today are good for their health? Why is that?
Absolutely not. I think, this is an area where parents and teachers need to wake up the children towards their health and bright future. Children are not that much wise so that they can take a decision what is good or bad for them in long run.
3. How do you think children's activities will change in the future? Will this be a positive change?
In my view, the speed with which, T.V. and internet are engaging children in themselves is highly a matter of concern. Our children are becoming physically weak and socially unacceptable. They are more easy with T.V. screens than real life people. This is a serious issue. I don't name this as a positive change. Educators and parents need to play their role in this and aware the children about their best possible future.
