Describe a festival that is important in your country.

Celebrations and happy moments are close to everyone’s life. In my country there are many festivals which are celebrated with respect and enthusiasm like Holi, Dipawali, New Year, Teej, Vaisakhi and many more. But today I would like to share my views about Dipawali; it is quite a religious background based festival. In the month of October or November it is celebrated generally. We lighten our home, share sweets among each other, worship god Rama, wear new clothes and take the oath of becoming a truthful person in life like Rama. I really like the basic ideology behind the festival that it is celebrated as the symbol of victory of truth over evil. It certainly gives us a message that evil may be appearing strong but at the end it has to lose from truth. Somewhere the religious feelings of my loving Indians are respectfully associated with the God Rama. They feel very happy and satisfied by doing these rituals at festival Dipawali.

As I was in final year of school education so my class was at primary focus for that organization. Actually they were also from an educational institute that was offering some graduation courses in various fields. I took the survey seriously and I filled the details of commerce field as I was very much interested in economics. There were all final year students from all branches in the meeting along with all concerned staff members. Since, I was in final year BBA stream so I was also taking part in that. Meeting went up to 2 hours. Team leaders for particular tasks, were selected in that meeting. There were several topics of discussion in the meeting. Likewise, we were planning about proper schedule, security at function, catering arrangements, welcoming of guests and light & sound facilities. We made teams for all different tasks. Everyone was excited about his duties. I have learnt many great lessons from this meeting likewise leadership, management of sources, coordination among team members, time management and working with deadlines. This function has successfully brought out a leader in me. From then, I started participating in such meetings.

Fortunately, in my family, there are many great friends who are visiting us from past years. But there is a person who is my father’s best friend and I am looking him from last 15 years, his name is Mr. Gurdev Singh, he was a farmer at that time but now he has become a spiritual seeker. As I told you he is one of my father’s best friends, he is quite common in my family. A great thing is, my father and this fellow had started their careers in farming together. Friends are friends. They both are quite close to each other. And his home is also at a walking distance to my home. His entire family is also very close to my family. We use to celebrate all our grand days together throughout the year. I have no idea of frequency of his visits to my family. I still remember him because he is a nice man. He has guided us always for better things. His nature is also very polite and down to earth. Biggest plus point of this man is, he was always passionate about going into spiritual field and I was listening this from him from many years and today he is a spiritual seeker, I mean to say, he has done what he promised to himself. He is living a spiritually stable life and I also respect him because of his determination.
